Registered Psychologist, DCPsych, PsyBA, MAPS
Dr Gill is an AHPRA registered Psychologist, offering a personalised and convenient Tele-Psychology service for Adults, from Tasmania, direct to you anywhere in Australia.
Having trained in London, she has worked for over 20 years in both public and private sectors, in the UK and Australia, in a range of public and private practices.
Dr Gill prioritises meeting all people, regardless of history or current pain with a hope of meeting you deeply. This stance arises from her personal and professional experiences to ensure the nurturing of a psychotherapeutic space to better understand the hurt parts of your psychology, to attend to your mental health needs whilst using an evidence based approach to empower. Dr Gill aims to support you in navigating the emotional terrain of your inner life and social world. This approch is informed by Dr Gill's understanding that trauma can resurface during times of adversity, and recovery can be achieved by taking an holistic approach, putting the therapeutic relationship at the centre of this intersubjective space. She values a personalised approach to therapy that sees, hears and feels you, as a whole person, in the context of your own experiences and understandings of care or limitations thereof.
Dr Gill believes that change in therapy arises from your sufferings being known, being truly understood, through authentic connection and care, in close attention to where you have been, where you are now and where you are heading, offering a bespoke service personalised specifically to your needs as part of a talking relationship, beyond medicalisation. This often requires a commitment to regular appointments to allow time and space to unpack often complex and underlying issues beneath the surface, and overcome these, beyond symptom management, to encourage connection, therapeutic insight, healing and, or support to change in a way that is meaningful to you, on your psychology journey through mental and emotional pain.
